Tim Bresnan was in the thick of the action in Yorkshire’s eventful opening day against Kent at Canterbury.
After winning the toss and batting, they were reduced to 96-6 when Bresnan was out without scoring, but they made 210 then reduced Kent to 130-4 with the former England man taking 2-19.
He told BBC Radio Leeds: “We thought it was a much better wicket than it turned out to be. The lads who got a few runs said they never really felt in.
“It looked like a shirt-front but it offered something all day. We fought back well with the ball and they could have been 90-6 or 90-7.”
